Charis start to reject her diaper
She will run away whenever we want to change her diaper
Like last night, I want to change her diaper
but she keep standing up and cried badly
宝贝很可怜的看着我。。。
But I have no choice, I have not start training her
This morning, we took out the potty for Charis to try
She dun want to sit on the potty
But lucky she allows us to change the diaper without crying :)
Did some reading on potty training
And found some information to share:
You may start start potty training your child if she:
• Has regular, soft, formed bowel movements Yes
• Can pull her pants up and down No
• Imitates others' bathroom habits (likes to watch you go to the bathroom, wants to wear underwear, and so on) Yes, she will follow me to the toilet
• Makes a physical demonstration when she's having a bowel movement (such as grunting, squatting, or telling you) Yes, she will keep pointing to her diaper
• Has words for stool and urine Yes
• Can follow simple instructions (such as "Give me the toy.") Yes
• Understands the physical signals that mean she has to go and can tell you before it happens No, she will only tell us after she pee
• Dislikes the feeling of being in a dirty nappy Yes
• Has "dry" periods of at least three or four hours (this shows her bladder muscles are developed enough to hold her urine in and store it) No, her diaper is always full
• Isn't negative about everything No, she dun dare to sit on potty
• Understands the value of putting things where they belong Yes
• Demonstrates a desire for independence Yes
• Can walk and sit down Yes
Some important points to take note:
• If your child has started to show an interest in potty training, that's great.
• But don't push her to get through it faster than she's ready to.
• If she gets nervous, she could start withholding her stool, which can lead to constipation and other problems.
• Don't get upset or scold her which will only make your child less interested in training
• She'll be afraid of making any more mistakes and making you angry.
• She may also start withholding her stools, which can lead to painful constipation
True, I heard a true case from the Doc, a toddler is so scared of potty that he need to be carried by his grandma when poop poop
So I shall go slowly on Charis, NO RUSH! Let her take her time to get used to this new change.
Meanwhile, we will keep telling her that: 尿尿要讲。。。
And I need to get her some training pants and panties over the weekend.
