Welcome 2015

Ending the bad and sad in year 2014, hope peace and happiness fill every part of year 2015

Four eyes girl

Charis started to wear glasses just before starting her primary school. I received a letter that she need to go health promotion board for a detailed eye check up in end nov. After the eye check up, she confirmed that she need to wear glasses. I was upset for a few days. Simply cannot accept that she need to wear glasses so young. Especially we seldom watch tv program at home, no tablets and smartphones for the kids. Then I realised that her bad reading habit and poor lighting got her this. Stupid me got the living room lighting in warm light and cool white. The orangey light is not suitable for reading and the white light is too weak for reading. Thanks god that her degree is not high, hopefully she will wear her glasses well and her degree will not increase too much.

28-11-2014 was a terrible day for Charis

As school holiday has started, thinking that it may be boring for the 2 kids to stay at grandma house, so we allowed them to bring their scooter to grandma house. It was a bad move! While my dad was busy with Gregory, he did not realize that Charis was riding fast down a slope. When he knew, Charis had landed face down to the ground. Accident happen, I am not blaming my dad or anyone. It is her mischief that got her in this stage. I just feel terribly painful each time I see her face.   I brought her to see a GP at that night. It was a painful night. The doctor need to clear away the dirt that stick to her wound and the process was so scary even to me. Numbing cream was first to her face and the doctor started to scrap the surface. Blood keep surface up. I cannot take a clear look at it. Whole process, Charis is very brave and calm. After the wound clean up, it slowly get better. I am glad that I brought her to the doctor for the cleaning up. The wound heal faster as compared to

Our 1st family trip

It has been a long time since I last travelled with my family. Ever since I was pregnant with my first born, Charis, I am reluctant to travel. The thoughts of dragging the bags full of diapers and milk powder and 2 rascals running about with me chasing after them totally shut me down. Now they are older at 6YO and 4YO, I am much prepared to bring them overseas. This trip is rather a last minute trip, no much planning to be done. We are going to Bangkok for a start!!! This makes me feel great! Finally I made my first move. Since it is a last minute trip, I have a hard time getting the flight. Budget airline is out as I am bringing my parents along and with PH around the corner, most flights with good timing are full. Lucky I did managed to find one through Zuji.com.sg though the arrival date is early by 1 day. It makes our trip longer by 1 day to 5D4N. I am not complaining. :) The kids are very excited when they heard of the trip. Charis is counting down to the day everyday. I can fe

What the kids says

Sometimes hearing what the kids say really make me laugh rolling on the floor. Never under estimate a child. Gregory at 4year old and Charis at 6 year old, have never fail to make me laugh with their powerful words Scenario 1: We are taking bus to my mom house in the morning, and Charis told me that she wants to have good skin and no pimples  Charis: Mummy, I don't want to have pimple on my face Me: Then you should eat more health food, more veg and fruit. Also no Chicken, Prawn and Sotong. Suddenly Charis reacted strongly: Mummy, I will not eat sotong! Me feeling puzzled: Why? Charis: I scared that it will tickle me. Me *almost burst out laughing*: No lah, darling. That is Octopus, not squid. Charis: Same, they will tickle me. Me: ....... **Taking deep breathe so that I don't laugh out in front of her. Scenario 2: When I was back from work yesterday, my mom told me that the kids fighted over a toy and Gregory was angry with his jiejie Charis, and he complained to ah ma Gr

Happy 49th birthday, singapore!

The kids are celebrating Singapore 49th Birthday in their school. I am very looking forward to it. This year is Charis last National Day performance in her Kindergarten and Gregory 1st National Day dancing. I can easily tell out Gregory is super hyper for his 2nd performance of the year and Charis (the old bird) looked very relaxed. I feel very happy and excited for their performance.

Play and learn together

Bought 2 set of cards for the kids sometimes back, 1 set is addition which 2 darlings have fun playing with. The other set is multiplication cards. Didn't really teach Charis on multiplication as I find it too difficult for her, i think it is for 8 years old and above, but I bought it together with other purchases to save the shipping cost. Today Charis darling decide to give a try, to learn it. Of course I am very happy to play with her. Very difficult for her and myself. I have no idea how to teach her, still have to 硬着头皮上。。。

A great day at garden by the bay

Sunny and bright day:) there is a family package deal for garden by the bay so we decided to spend our day there. There is a credit cards promotion on the tickets too, just nice for the grandparents. 老人家总爱念,别乱花钱。 这样子的省钱花费,他们就不念了。 We visit the garden early before the weather get too warm. They kids are very excited! They love flowers, bright and beautiful. Sometimes when we are walking along the roadside, we will slow down and have a good look on the flowers. This time round, they can enjoy watching the colourful flowers happily.
