Kolby 4th mth assessment

Brought Kolby for his 4th mth vaccine yesterday. He weighs 6.4kg and stands 59cm tall which is consider quite small build as he falls in the 25 percentile. I am alright with his small built but what make me more worried is his head circumference is a bit small. Less than 3 percentile, at 4mth old, his head only measures 38cm. There is a small growth  of 3cm from his 3th mth assessment which the nurse asked me to monitor.

I did a Google about it, too small head circumference is called Microcephaly. It affects the brain development and it freaks me out. Praying hard that his head grows and he is mainly small head.

Kolby looks absolutely well. Or it is too young to tell. I cannot help to think negatively.

Arrival of baby Nicholas

19 April 2021, we welcomed our new member :) he has came to us as a surprised gift. I got to know I was pregnant last Sep, at first it came to me as a shock rather than surprise. Firstly I did not thought that getting conceive is easy, for all previous pregnancy, I have tried ways and means to get pregnant, and now I did not even try and I strike jackpot! Of course, baby equal joy!!! We broken the news to our kids and Charis even cried when she heard it. My pregnancy journey is not a smooth one, at 40 year old, I feel my body is not prepared and weak for this pregnancy. I have bleeding for the whole T2 and pelvic pain for T3. Basically i need more and more bedrest and because I get to work from home due to covid 19, I did not have to travel to work or request any medical leave. 16 April 2021, I am at week 37 plus 4days, during the gynae check, I was already 2cm dilated, I am excited. My inital plan is to induce on 19 April as I am worried that the fliud level will drop after week 38...

Charis is better now No more fever after 1 week No more runny nose No more coughing I was so worried when she was still having fever (37.4 ~ 37.8 degrees) on monday... Pd say it may be due to the flu that is why she is still having fever on & off felt so painful when they use a machine to suck out her mucus Charis was struggling bad! I believe she HATES doctor now She has phlegm in her lung I was so scared that it will turn be to bronchiolitis Hengz... I made a call to Ah kor, she gave me a method 1) Feed her with barley 2) No shower because she caught a flu 3) Use Ru Yi Oil plus a few drop of martell and massage on her tummy And it WORKS on her! Really 佩服 ah kor! 谢天谢地！！ ！ She can sleep well again! (include us too)

My Labor Story

My labor story for Gregory is rather a short one. 9am: Went for my week 38 check up. Dr Wong checked that Water level is low, was asked to induce today. Pill inserted, arrangeed to admit TMC at 1pm 1pm: Reached TMC, labour ward fulled, waited for room. 2pm: In labour ward, nurse checked for dilation. Only 2cm dilated. Dear still have time for his dental appointment 3pm: Dr Wong came to break the water bag, only 3cm dilated. Arranged me to put on drip at 4.30pm cos dear is not back from his appointment yet. Everytime must wait for him :( 4.30pm: Shortly after dear is back, nurse came to put me on drip. Start to feel the contraction at every 4min interval. Dilation is only 4cm 4.40pm: The pain is getting worse and I have the urge to poo. Asked nurse to check, still 4cm. Cannot tahan any longer, asked for epidual. 4.45pm: Nurse was preparing the consent form, I have strong urge to push. Pushed a few times, thought that I have pooped and asked nurse over to clean up.
