July

It was a busy june and july for me. Sending Charis everyday to student care and rush to work during june holidays, taking day off to bring the kids out for some fun and as soon as the holiday ended, my green belt training start. It means that every morning is a mad rush to send gregory and kolby to my mom house and go to changi north for my GB training. Lucky it is only for a week. However in 2 week time, the madness will come back again for another 4 days. Quite like the green belt course, good to be back to study. Feel happy to learn more thing.

Kolby started walking without help. This mean more work for me, maybe I will lose fats more.. haha

When Kolby went for his 12 mth old vaccine, he was measured too small build and motor skills not good. He was referred to kkh kid specialist, but I did not bring him for review. I find that he is doing well, he is able to scribble with a pen right after I showed him how although he still cannot take up a raisin. I will teach him that too.

Arrival of baby Nicholas

19 April 2021, we welcomed our new member :) he has came to us as a surprised gift. I got to know I was pregnant last Sep, at first it came to me as a shock rather than surprise. Firstly I did not thought that getting conceive is easy, for all previous pregnancy, I have tried ways and means to get pregnant, and now I did not even try and I strike jackpot! Of course, baby equal joy!!! We broken the news to our kids and Charis even cried when she heard it. My pregnancy journey is not a smooth one, at 40 year old, I feel my body is not prepared and weak for this pregnancy. I have bleeding for the whole T2 and pelvic pain for T3. Basically i need more and more bedrest and because I get to work from home due to covid 19, I did not have to travel to work or request any medical leave. 16 April 2021, I am at week 37 plus 4days, during the gynae check, I was already 2cm dilated, I am excited. My inital plan is to induce on 19 April as I am worried that the fliud level will drop after week 38...

Charis is better now No more fever after 1 week No more runny nose No more coughing I was so worried when she was still having fever (37.4 ~ 37.8 degrees) on monday... Pd say it may be due to the flu that is why she is still having fever on & off felt so painful when they use a machine to suck out her mucus Charis was struggling bad! I believe she HATES doctor now She has phlegm in her lung I was so scared that it will turn be to bronchiolitis Hengz... I made a call to Ah kor, she gave me a method 1) Feed her with barley 2) No shower because she caught a flu 3) Use Ru Yi Oil plus a few drop of martell and massage on her tummy And it WORKS on her! Really 佩服 ah kor! 谢天谢地！！ ！ She can sleep well again! (include us too)

My Labor Story

My labor story for Gregory is rather a short one. 9am: Went for my week 38 check up. Dr Wong checked that Water level is low, was asked to induce today. Pill inserted, arrangeed to admit TMC at 1pm 1pm: Reached TMC, labour ward fulled, waited for room. 2pm: In labour ward, nurse checked for dilation. Only 2cm dilated. Dear still have time for his dental appointment 3pm: Dr Wong came to break the water bag, only 3cm dilated. Arranged me to put on drip at 4.30pm cos dear is not back from his appointment yet. Everytime must wait for him :( 4.30pm: Shortly after dear is back, nurse came to put me on drip. Start to feel the contraction at every 4min interval. Dilation is only 4cm 4.40pm: The pain is getting worse and I have the urge to poo. Asked nurse to check, still 4cm. Cannot tahan any longer, asked for epidual. 4.45pm: Nurse was preparing the consent form, I have strong urge to push. Pushed a few times, thought that I have pooped and asked nurse over to clean up.
