Brought Kolby for his 4th mth vaccine yesterday. He weighs 6.4kg and stands 59cm tall which is consider quite small build as he falls in the 25 percentile. I am alright with his small built but what make me more worried is his head circumference is a bit small. Less than 3 percentile, at 4mth old, his head only measures 38cm. There is a small growth  of 3cm from his 3th mth assessment which the nurse asked me to monitor. I did a Google about it, too small head circumference is called Microcephaly. It affects the brain development and it freaks me out. Praying hard that his head grows and he is mainly small head. Kolby looks absolutely well. Or it is too young to tell. I cannot help to think negatively. Love his smile!

It has been some times since I last blogged. Too tiring and busy to handle 3 kids, with a newborn that need attention always. This little one can only stay alone and play for 30min after which he will start to call out for us. Lately he is busy with his new discovery. The power of turning! He has been trying to flip over since 2 weeks ago and managed to do last 2 days. Still he need help to flip back to his back, but he has been doing quite well. Trying his best!

Kolby is 2 mth old on 8 Aug. We celebrated our first national day. We went to a national day carnival held in our neighbourhood. Darling Charis and Gregory have so much fun. Eat and play!!! They went to the movie event on the night before and were excited over the next day event until they could not sleep. It was a long time since they had fun. I was busy with baby kolby and without a maid and car, we could not travel far. It was so good that there were so many programmes for this year national day. Apart from this, updates on baby kolby development: At week 9, for these 2 nights, he woke up at 4 plus in the morning for milk and sleep back until 8plus. I hope this will continue. More and more baby talk from him, playing with me, rejecting his bottle and complain in his baby language. It is so much joy to watch him grow.

How fast time flies! Kolby is 8 week old now, which mean I left only another 8 weeks with him. Glad that confinement period was over, we got a confinement lady for this round and it was a good decision made. I got enough rest during this period, not so stress up with supply that I can build up my supply, not worry that my mom cannot cope with the kids. Everyone has an easy time. 4 weeks alone with baby after the confinement lady left, my mom will come over in the afternoon that 2 kids are back from school. I am glad that she is around, I am having a hard time especially during evening time when Kolby is active. It is a war fighting every minute and weekend is the worst as hubby is not helping out. Else life is beautiful. Kolby at 8 week old weighs 4.8kg, recognise me and like me to be by his side. When he is awake, he will want us to talk to him, or just stay beside him. when he wants to sleep, he need to be latch. He can sleep longer hours at night about 5-6hrs before he stir and aw...

After 2 weeks of bed rest,  I was out for my Gynae checkup. Today is my induce date, the day that I will be hugging and holding my baby prince. We left the house with my hopsital bag. I told my hubby that baby prince should be coming out soon as I can feel him very low. True enough, my Gynae checked and I was 3cm dilated. She inserted the pill to induce labour and we had about 3hr to admit to the ward. Shortly after the pill was inserted, I could feel the contractions coming strong and frequent, but I did not expect it to be so soon. So hubby and I went to novena for his hair cut and we saw quan yi feng. Stunned, hubby commented that she looked more shag than me but I was not focusing as my contractions was very strong for me. Basically I could not stand up at all. We rushed back to the hospital, wanted to be admit but I need my food first. Endure and endure, we rushed to finish our meal at delifrance with me almost curl up because of the pain. I was check in around 12 noon though...

Busy been a human milk machine for Kolby.  Ever since baby is born, I have been latching and pumping to meet his demand. Milk flow start at day 5, I faced bad engorgement until I cried in front of Charis and Gregory, I have forgotten how to deal with engorgement, lucky baby clear the lumps for me. Back to every 3hr pumping and endless night care for baby, I got a confinement lady to help me out, as baby sleep with me, I am awake when he stir a little. Now Kolby is 7 weeks old and I have managed to latch him at night, he has started to choose latching over bottle feed and when taking from bottle, he prefers fresh breastmilk and chilled breastmilk over frozen breastmilk. I have oversupply now and with his new preference, I don't know what should do with the frozen breastmilk. Hopefully when I return to work, he will drink more fbm.

Officially in week 37 now! After bed rest for 2 weeks, I do not have to worry of pre term labor anymore. In fact I wish that baby come early than the induced date 8 june, which left only 1 day, 7 june. Sound sick?!?! Actually I can feel that my body is preparing for baby arrival itself. Maybe 8 june is the date that baby wants too. Let wait and see. 7 june or 8 june.
